A mix of photos of the two juvenile Red-tailed Hawk. July 9, 2013

So happy to finally see the babies. They were having a great time in the rain and flying. Enjoy a mix of shots. First time I have really seen the hawks this year. Both female, both healthy, both flying really well and beautiful.

Juvenile Red-tailed Hawk walking the light stand july 9, 2013

What a hoot. She walked back and forth and almost fell off the end. Light walking a tight rope. Pooring rain by the way

Juvenile Red-tailed Hawk landing in tree and then flying again July 9, 2013

One of the joys is watching the juveniles fly. They scream, they flap and they go around in circles looking for a good place to land. This one landed in the trees and I was sure he would fall off. Once he settled off he went again back the same way. lol Mom had to be near with food.

Red-tailed Hawk - 2 juveniles fledged

At lunch I saw two juvenile Red-tailed Hawks flying around the building. Scary. One juvenile almost hit 2 times. That is the life of a urban hawk. The female was nearby as well. Thrilling to see them.
